DARLINGTON, May 4 -- John Zimmerly, who had been a great sufferer for more than four years with rheumatism, peacefully crossed the river of death Apr. 28, 1896, at the advanced age of 74 years and 12 days.  His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Perry Thursday, Apr. 30, services conducted by Elder Hathway.
